12 High Schoolers Stand in the Woods and Start Singing 'How Great Thou Art'
“America’s Got Talent” has had a killer season. From the most daring and terrifying acts to choirs that have earned the infamous golden buzzer, season 13 has been a showstopper.
But this summer’s talent extravaganza on NBC isn’t the only place to find amazing vocals. Legendary Vocals on Facebook claims to feature “the most phenomenal vocal talent from around the world.”
You may have heard of YouTube sensations Peter and Evynne Hollens. Peter Hollens is the mind behind Legendary Vocals.
It’s easy to understand why since he and his wife have taken the internet by storm with their high quality remakes of the most popular songs.
Check out this couple’s rendition of “Rewrite the Stars” on YouTube from the smash-hit, “The Greatest Showman.” It’s easy to see their passion for all things musical.
These two are positive, upbeat, and inspiring. Which is probably why they make it a point to share uplifting tunes on social media.
“Had to share this fantastic song that Legendary Vocals posted,” Evynne wrote on Facebook on August 3. “Wow! Hope you enjoy!!”
The video she’s referring to just might leave you in tears. It features a group of 12 high school students who call themselves OneVoice.
Try not to cry as you watch their performance of “How Great Thou Art.” The woodland and church setting is perfect for this classic hymn.
Wow is right! Doesn’t this give you goosebumps? I could listen to this amazing choir of young people sing all day.
OneVoice is an acappella group from Briarcrest Christian High School located in Memphis, Tennessee.
According to OneVoice’s Facebook page, they’ve “quickly become a leader in the contemporary acappella movement.”
And guess what? They even auditioned for ‘America’s Got Talent.’ in 2016. Though the group didn’t win, I’d say they’re still coming out on top.
Their audition video on YouTube revealed that OneVoice is comprised of teens of all different types. From football players to artists to nerds, these high schoolers can certainly hit a note or two.
What an amazing, awe-inspiring group! I hope we see a lot more of them on Legendary Vocals, and in more talent competitions in the years to come.
