Former teammate Incognito defends McCoy, claims to know the 'whole story'
As Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy lines up a legal team to defend himself against allegations that he savagely beat a former girlfriend, a former teammate has stepped up for his friend.
Pro Bowl offensive lineman Richie Incognito took to Twitter to support the embattled running back.

McCoy has proclaimed his innocence, and sent a message to his followers on Instagram, claiming he hasn’t had any contact with the victim for months.

Reaction to the allegations has been fast and furious, especially when photos of the alleged victim, Delicia Cordon, were posted on social media.
They show a badly battered woman, with dried blood surrounding her face.
Incognito tweeted that things aren’t as they seem, saying he supports his friend, and that he — Icognito — knows the “full story.”

Some might suggest that Incognito isn’t the kind of person who can speak to a person’s reputation.
This came after Incognito fired his agent, retired, then changed his mind and said he wants to remain in the NFL.
Incognito made national headlines in 2013 for his part in the bullying of then-Dolphins teammate Jonathan Martin.
In other words, he may not be the ideal person vouching for McCoy’s character.
Still, Incognito says his friend could not have committed the crime — because he wasn’t there.

Mike Florio of NBC Sports raised the possibility that McCoy may not have actually performed the attack, but may have organized it.
Florio floated a scenario where the running back hired someone to break into the house and retrieve jewelry that McCoy had gifted to Cordon. He then hypothesized that the violence was not supposed to be part of the crime, but when Cordon showed up, the attacker(s) beat her.
In the meantime, the NFL, the Bills and Georgia authorities are searching for answers.
One would think that McCoy may need more than the Twitter support of someone with Incognito’s history and reputation.
