Breaking: 'Happiest Man in the World' Tim Tebow Announces Engagement

Share

Former Heisman Trophy winner and current professional baseball player Tim Tebow is officially off the market.

After roughly six months of dating, Tebow has proposed to Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, known for winning Miss Universe in 2017.

“Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world. You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” Tebow wrote in an Instagram post Thursday.

Nel-Peters, who is from South Africa, also posted about the engagement on Instagram.

“Any dreams I’ve ever had, you’ve exceeded them all! I love you and I can’t wait to spend forever with you!” she wrote.

The engagement was reportedly an elaborate affair that had many of the couple’s friends and family members in attendance.

Tebow even hid the real surprise from Nel-Peters by pretending he was presenting his dad with a new truck.

People magazine has all the details on how the engagement went down, if you are into that kind of thing, but we will refrain from posting them here in an attempt to retain some shred of our dignity as a sports website.

The only thing we can say for sure is that the New York Mets will be thrilled to see that Tebow is starting the year batting 1.000.
