Watch: Boxer Suffers First Loss of His Career After Getting Too Cocky with Just Seconds Left
Boxer Sabri Sediri was just seconds away from winning the World Boxing Organization European super lightweight title at the Morningside Arena Leicester in England on Saturday night, before he got a bit too cocky and found himself on the canvas instead.
Sediri, who’s from France, was undefeated at 10-0-1 going into the night. He appeared to be on the verge of clinching the title, as he was beating the U.K.’s Sam Maxwell pretty soundly.
Sediri had knocked Maxwell down two times and probably had the lead in points, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.
During the last 30 seconds of the final round, Sediri started showboating — bobbing, weaving and dancing around Maxwell, according to CBS Sports.
Maxwell stayed focused, and with about 14 seconds to go, he delivered a devastating hit that sent Sediri to the canvas.

Sediri managed to get to his feet, but was very wobbly. As a result, the fight was called.
In an amazing turn of events, it was ruled a TKO win for Maxwell. The reaction on social media was swift and fierce.

Bet sediri is going to kick himself in morning like when Nate Campbell was showboating then gets knocked out absolute idiots

Maxwell, 30, improved to 11-0 and won the title.
Sediri, 25, suffered his first loss and fell to 10-1-1.
This will no doubt be the last time he makes that sort of mistake, seeing as how it costs him a championship.
And you can bet Sediri will want a rematch.
