Magician Reveals Daughter Battling Cancer, But Nothing Could Have Prepared Them for Magic Trick

Share

I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond excited it’s almost summer. And why, you might ask?

Because summer means summer television programming. And summer television programming means a new season of “America’s Got Talent.”

From dancers like Merrick Hanna who make me cry, to comedians like Preacher Lawson who make my side ache, talent shows are the best! The variety of acts keeps me at the edge of my couch, and there’s nothing quite as fun as seeing something I’d never expect.

No wonder talent shows span the borders of entertainment. Seems as if every country has their own version now.

All I can say is, thank goodness we get Simon Cowell. “Britain’s Got Talent” loves him too — he is one of their own, after all.

“Britain’s Got Talent” auditions are already airing. So far there have been some amazing performers who have taken their chances in front of the judges.

Some of the acts can get emotional, but very rarely does a magic trick leave the audience weeping. More often than not, I’ll admit some of the magicians give me the creeps, and not in a good way.

But one magician stunned the “Britain’s Got Talent” audience into a standing ovation. What began as a typical, judge-involved, illusion ended in tears and cheers from everyone in the room.

Watch as 45-year-old Marc Spelmann mixes illusion with authenticity. I promise the ending will leave you breathless.

“For me, real magic changed two years ago,” he said. When he began to roll the video on the big screen, my eyes immediately welled with tears.

I have no idea how this man pulled off this amazing trick. I only know I couldn’t look away as he showed images and video of his wife and daughter.

Spelmann shared how his wife battled with cancer during her pregnancy. But, in the end, both she and baby Isabella came through.

The “real magic,” Spelmann explained, was his wife and daughter’s survival. A truly heartwarming story — I just can’t wait to see what he does in the next round!

I have no doubts this man will make it far in the show. He may even come out the winner, though he’s already won as far as I’m concerned.
