Horse Finds Perfect Way To Entertain Himself While Driving Down Road
After an extended winter season, when warm weather finally starts sweeping across the country, thoughts begin turning to summer road trips.
There’s just something carefree and liberating about stashing your stuff in an oversized bag, hopping in the car, and heading out to explore the open road.
Of course, maybe your own trips are just a little more structured. Let’s say you’ve got a couple kiddos who need to remain occupied as you wind your way toward family-friendly adventure.
When it comes to staying energized on any lengthy highway excursion, there are a few fun standbys many of us recall. Take a mobile game like “I Spy,” for example — it’s perfect for passengers of any age, so even fidgety preschoolers can readily participate.
There’s also the super-simple yet time-honored pastime of License Plate Bingo. Each member of your crew writes down a state’s name as they spot it, and the first person to accumulate all 50 states is the winner.
For many motorists, however, road trips are the really perfect excuse to crank up the tunes and enjoy a lengthy sing-along session. Adults love it, kids love it … and evidently, horses are huge fans, too.
Of course, steeds and stallions aren’t necessarily big in the singing department. But let’s face it — when your favorite hit single starts playing at full volume, head-bobbing can be a perfectly acceptable substitute.
Just ask the horse that was recently spotted cruising down Highway 6 in College Station, TX. Envision the situation for a moment: It’s a gorgeous sunny day, the wind is whipping through your mane, and somebody else is doing the driving.
Under these utterly ideal circumstances, what choice do you really have when your human companion starts jamming to a rhythmic Randy Travis tune? The beat winds its way through your livestock trailer, and you pony up.
That’s exactly what seemed to be happening when a neighboring car pulled up next to this hooved-and-happy passenger.
There was some serious horse head-banging happening, and it was such a humorous sight that the amused motorists decided to film it.
The people doing the filming couldn’t help laughing right out loud. And judging by the subsequent number of video views across social media, others seem to be exceedingly entertained as well.
There are really two fundamental takeaways from this brief but highly adorable episode. First, Randy Travis rocks — and second, even music appreciation is bigger in Texas.
