Rare Photos in Remembrance of Princess Diana

Share

Americans have never ceased to show an interest in royal affairs. Especially when it comes to the People’s Princess, Diana.

From weddings to christenings, patriots love a royal event. We get up at all hours of the morning to watch these events on television, wishing we could attend the most prestigious of occasions.

July marks the birthday month of the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Born July 1, 1961.

While August marks the month her life was tragically cut short, passing away on August 31, 1997.

In 2017, her boys, Prince Harry and Prince William, released some old photos to the public. The photos were shared leading up to the 20th anniversary of her passing.

Most are familiar with the tragedy that took place in Paris on August 31, 1997. But perhaps not everyone knows the mother and woman behind all that elegance and fame.

In a preview for a documentary that aired in 2017, Prince Harry shared, “Our mother was a total kid, through and through … all I can hear is her laugh in my head.”

The princes are now both in their 30s, but age hasn’t stopped them from honoring their mother, her legacy, and her memory.

The documentary, “Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy,” reveals a close, personal look from Harry and William’s perspectives. The film is now available on Amazon.

Much like the beloved Duchess Kate after her, Diana did not want a governess raising her boys. Instead, she took to raise them herself.

In the old photos, Diana can be seen loving on her sons and going on outings with them. In each one, her bright smile and joy-filled eyes say it all.

Diana loved William and Harry, and they adored their mother in return. Prince William, Duke of Cambridge continues to share her memory with his young children.

No doubt Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex will do the same when it comes time for him and Meghan to become parents.
