Authorities Reportedly Blow Up Suitcase in Middle of Airport Only To Find Coconuts
Just when you think you’ve seen every crazy or funny things on social media, a new story comes along that leaves you scratching your head like never before.
Freelance journalist, Ned Donovan, has captured numerous photos showcasing architecture and history across the globe.

From Tuscany, Italy, to Jaipur, India, Donovan has shared his many adventures with his over 10,000 followers. But a recent excursion through the Fiumicino airport in Rome is the one that’s gone viral.
One might think it would be the sights of the beautiful city that would invite more attention. After all, Rome is famous for places like the Colosseum and St. Peter’s Basilica.
And yet it’s Donovan’s photos taken in an airport terminal that have hoarded all the attention. When you catch a glimpse of these baffling photos, you’ll understand why.
Apparently, there was quite an upset in the airport terminal. Donovan shared pictures on Twitter of what appears to be an … exploded suitcase?

“Amazing, the Italian police have blown up a bag full of coconuts and have now reopened Rome airport,” Donovan wrote in the close-up photo’s caption. “Here are the exploded coconuts:”
Coconuts? Really? This is too hilarious to be true, right? Not according to Donovan’s interview with the Independent.
“They stopped anyone going airside while dealing with it and no one was allowed to come into the terminal,” he told the news outlet. “But the people inside were just left to wander around.”

Donovan’s photos are worth a thousand words — or tweets, as the case may be. The close-up of the charred suitcase has been retweeted over 9,000 times as of Thursday morning.

It appears there’s nothing the Italian police won’t go through when it comes to passengers’ safety. Even coconuts are not discriminated against.
