“I have such a heartwarming story for you,” the text from James begins. “And I know you won’t be upset because you’re my amazing, one in a million soulmate.”

The other person’s response is simply, “Oh, boy.” Now, if this had been me, I probably would have been holding my breath, thinking, “Oh great, what did he do now?”

It seems this person might feel the same way, but once James shares the rest of the story, his significant other’s response will give you the warm fuzzies inside.

“I am so proud of you,” she wrote. Even though it turns out James took $800 out of their vacation budget, his partner doesn’t seem to mind.

Have you done something to help someone else this holiday season?

Because James didn’t use that money to buy a fancy new gadget or go on a shopping spree — not for himself anyway.

Instead, he noticed a student in need. A student who wore only a sweatshirt and sneakers to class every day, seemingly without warm clothes for the colder weather.

James decided to take action and be the one to provide what this young man needed. It meant more to him than a couple extra days of vacation

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you,” James says, “but I didn’t even think about it I just knew I had to help.” Wow. Just wow!

His significant other could have been angry. After all, James acted before discussing the situation with the one person who matters most to him.

But, in the end, this couple appears to be the perfect match. His partner even added, “See if they have anyone to spend Christmas with, if not we always have room for two more.”

Though some of the comments on this post are negative, most appear to be praising the couple for their kindness and giving hearts.

We need more people like James in this world. And even more like the person who supported him in whatever he does.
