‘Tis the season for good news! What better way to kick off the holiday season than to call a loved one with “glad tidings of great joy?”

This is exactly what happened for a girl from Salt Lake City. On Nov. 29, just after Thanksgiving, she received the best news of the year.

In a video originally posted to Twitter that has been viewed over 1 million times, Ariana Marshall can be seen making a phone call to her dad.

“Hi, Dad,” she begins with a full smile on her face. When Ariana’s father answers, he says, “Hi, Sweetheart. You’re on the phone with all of us.”

Whatever the news was had to be big. We can assume this young woman’s dad knew he needed to put her on speaker for whatever she was about to say.

“Been waiting to tell my dad this for a year and a half,” she tweeted on Nov. 29, 2018. “Best. Day. Ever!”

According to the video’s caption on Rumble, Ariana has been suffering from a condition that can cause jaw tumors.

Watch the video which was taken by Ariana’s mother. When you hear what this girl has to say, you might just need to reach for those tissues.

“The tumor’s finally gone!” she exclaims through tears of joy. At first her dad questions what she says. “What?” he asks.

“It’s gone,” his daughter repeats. The excitement can be seen and heard clearly on both ends of the line. Ariana’s father even says he’s “starting to cry.”

When she shares she doesn’t have to return to Huntsman Cancer Institute for six months, her expression is everything.

It’s clear she loves her dad very much. She just couldn’t wait another minute to tell him her news. What an emotional surprise!

We’re thankful Ariana and her dad got to share this special moment just in time for the holidays. We wish them so much joy this season and in all the years to come!
