Famous Actress Shares Malachi 3:10 After Becoming Highest Box Office Earner of 2018
2018 brought out some interesting trends. One bandwagon we’re totally on board with is the boldness of faith in many of our favorite stars.
“This is Us” actress Chrissy Metz discussed how believing in God may be “uncool” to some, but she doesn’t care, because it’s God who always shows up for her.
Chris Pratt stood up for his beliefs when he read from the Gospel of Luke at the Disneyland Candlelight Ceremony in December.
Now another superhero has spoken out about God’s goodness. Letitia Wright has taken to social media on more than one occasion, sharing verses and messages of hope with her followers.

all glory & all praise! God has never left me nor forsaken me. My Strength + Refuge. ??
The rising star is most well known for her role in the smash hit “The Black Panther” — part of the Marvel universe franchise.
Wright played the supporting role of Princess Shuri — a.k.a. the Black Panther’s younger sister. The film grossed over $200 million on its opening weekend, according to CNN Business, and has continued to climb the charts ever since.
While Wright was up against some pretty big names in Hollywood, with plenty of competition from actors like Chris Pratt and Josh Brolin, the Christian actress found herself on top when it came time to look at the numbers, Fandango reported.
As it turns out, maybe being a Christian isn’t so “uncool” after all. This believer outearned her fellow actors in 2018, becoming the highest grossing box office star of the year.

This number doesn’t actually represent what Wright personally made, but how much her movies banked overall, Long Room explains.
Still, that’s a pretty big deal considering she even beat Samuel L. Jackson, a box-office legend and Hollywood icon.
Rather than boast, Wright is giving all the glory back to God. She shared Malachi 3:10 and 2 Corinthians 9:15 to reflect this sentiment.
“God opened a floodgate of blessings!!” she wrote on Instagram. “I can’t even put into words my gratitude for all that has happened this year. These two scriptures sum it up.”
“To everyone who has supported me, encouraged me! Words can’t describe how thankful I am to you,” she continued in her caption.
What a wonderful thing it is to see someone in the spotlight live out her faith boldly and without shame. Wright will certainly be on our list of actresses to watch in 2019.
