Paul Sherwen
The former cyclist and renowned commentator passed away on Dec. 2, 2018, at the age of 62. Sherwen is widely credited for introducing the sport to English-speaking fans, having voiced the Tour de France and other major cycling events for 33 years.
Philip Bosco
Tony-winning actor, Philip Bosco, passed away on Dec. 3, 2018, at the age of 88. Bosco won a Tony for his 1989 performance in “Lend Me a Tenor,” however, he was also a familiar face of television and movies. He appeared in such films as “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” “Three Men and a Baby,” “Trading Places” and “The First Wives Club.”
Nancy Wilson
Legendary jazz singer Nancy Wilson passed away at the age of 81 on Dec. 13, 2018. The Grammy-winning recording artist released more than 70 albums during her career. Her biggest hit was “(You Don’t Know) How Glad I Am” released in 1964.
Penny Marshall
The director and actress famously known for her role as “Laverne” in “Laverne & Shirley” passed away on Dec. 17 at the age of 75. It was the film “Big” starring Tom Hanks that catapulted Marshall’s directing career. She was the first woman in history to direct a film that grossed over $100 million.
Audrey Geisel
The 97-year-old widow of Dr. Seuss passed away on Dec. 19, 2018. After her husband’s passing in 1991, Geisel made it her mission to protect her husband’s legacy and works so that children could enjoy them for generations to come.
Frank Adonis
“Goodfellas” actor Frank Adonis passed away on Dec. 26, 2018, at the age of 83. Adonis famously played the role of Anthony Stabile in the 1990 film. He was also known for his roles in “Raging Bull,” “Casino” and “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.”
Christine McGuire
Christine McGuire, the oldest of the three McGuire Sisters, passed away on Dec. 28, 2018, at the age of 92. The McGuire Sisters had a string of Top 20 hits making them one of the most popular female string groups in the 1950s.
