Clever Mom Has the Perfect Response for a Group of Teenaged Pranksters After House Gets Targeted
Kids these days — they’ll never know what it was like not to have devices and apps at their fingertips or the true bliss that was TGIF night.
In a culture where teens, in particular, have social media front and center, one has to wonder whatever happened to good clean fun.
Except a family in California isn’t wondering at all. In fact, they got a good look at exactly what “clean” fun looks like after a group of teens TP’d their house and yard.
You might ask yourself, “Is this still a thing?” If you ever worried that this generation’s youth has lost their sense of a good old fashioned humor, look no further than Exhibit A, also known as Aubrey Seymour’s yard.
The Southern California mom caught the culprits on her Ring doorbell cam. Her yard and front driveway were covered in rolls and rolls of toilet paper — 72 rolls, according to KTTV.
Seymour could have been furious once she saw the damage that had been done and the hours of clean up that would no doubt ensue.
Instead, she went to her local Facebook community group — San Clemente Life — and shared her thoughts with her neighbors.
“To the kids that TP’d our house last night,” Seymour’s post begins, “I have a few choice words for you… AMAZING job, you have given me faith that there are still youths that choose to go ABOVE and BEYOND.”
Probably the last thing you expected this mom to say, right? Don’t worry, it gets better.
“One day I believe you will change the world with your DETERMINATION to be the best,” Seymour adds. “I do have you on my ring and when I find out who you are…game on my friend, we too have a Costco size supply of TP.”

Well, instead of getting angry a San Clemente homeowner posted this message on Facebook applauding kids for TP’ing her house!

“I had posted it on San Clemente Life as a way to see if anyone fessed up, but most importantly I wanted to point out that kids these days have choices and unfortunately, not all are making the right ones,” Seymour told Cafe Mom.
“They got us good. I was hoping to make a few people laugh on San Clemente Life and maybe point out that the reaction to kids doing a harmless (no damage to property) prank can be viewed in a more positive light.”
The viral post is truly inspiring and perhaps a reminder that good-natured pranks just mean that these kids are choosing toilet paper over other, less-tasteful activities.
“They are wonderful boys that have known my son since elementary school, but don’t think we won’t be getting them back,” Seymour told KTTV.
It sounds like her “Costco size supply of TP” will be put to good use sometime soon.
