Trump Kicks Off Labor Day with Incredible Trade Deal Announcement
For all of the perceived criticisms lobbed against President Donald Trump, it’s mind boggling that economic progress is among them.
Even if you don’t like his rhetoric, hardline stance on immigration or his Twitter habits, it’s impossible to deny that America has made significant economic progress during Trump’s presidency.
Given the stark economic progress the country has made, it’s very fitting that Trump touted some exciting developments on Labor Day.
Happy Labor Day! Our country is doing better than ever before with unemployment setting record lows. The U.S. has tremendous upside potential as we go about fixing some of the worst Trade Deals ever made by any country in the world. Big progress being made!

“Our country is doing better than ever before with unemployment setting record lows,” Trump said on Twitter.
But perhaps the most exciting announcement was the news about “fixing some of the worst Trade Deals ever made by any country in the world.”
While Trump offered no specifics on the “big progress” being made, considering the effectiveness of the deal he cut with Mexico, there’s little reason to think that this is just Twitter embellishment.
Of note, Trump wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows on Labor Day.
He actually took direct aim at AFL-CIO union leader Richard Trumka in a fiery tweet.
Richard Trumka, the head of the AFL-CIO, represented his union poorly on television this weekend. Some of the things he said were so against the working men and women of our country, and the success of the U.S. itself, that it is easy to see why unions are doing so poorly. A Dem!

Naturally, Trump threw one last barb in at the end.
“A Dem!”
Trumka went on Fox News Sunday and attacked Trump over his trade negotiations.

Trumka also claimed that Trump had done more harm than good for American workers. Trumka claimed that the Trump administration had turned over regulations that protected workers.
And despite the low unemployment rates, Trumka somehow claimed that Trump hadn’t installed an infrastructure that is putting people back to work.
One of the more surprising criticisms Trumka had was that Trump’s tax cuts would somehow spur companies to outsource more jobs.
It’s no surprise that Trump felt compelled to fire back.
