Hillary Calls for Civility. 2 Weeks Earlier Said No Civility Til Dems Back in Power
Hillary Clinton is now on her high horse preaching about civility — only weeks after saying it could wait until Democrats had taken back power in Congress.
Speaking to the media after a “suspicious package” was sent to her house in Chappaqua, New York, Clinton said the country needs to unify.
“It’s a time of deep divisions and we have to do everything we can to bring our country together,” Clinton said at a news conference in Florida.

That’s actually a great message, but it’s hard to take her seriously when she has rejected civility just two weeks earlier.
After mobs formed around senators and government buildings during the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Clinton responded by saying the left “cannot be civil” in an interview with CNN earlier this month.
“You cannot be civil with a political party who wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” Clinton told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Oct. 9. “That’s why I believe if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again.”
Republicans were not happy with that remark.

In short, Clinton was enabling the left to have a temper tantrum until Democrats are back in office.
Comments against civility are not unusual from the left. Previously, left-wing politicians like Democratic Reps. Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters have made comments suggesting leftists are justified in acting out their political anger.
Pelosi wondered aloud why “there aren’t uprisings all over the country.”
Waters even called for mobs to form around members of President Donald Trump’s administration.
“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd,” she said.
This rhetoric against civility peddled by the left is finally reaching its undesired boiling point.
There are mobs being formed, politicians being punched, and now suspicious packages being sent.
Republicans have tried to stop the madness by consistently condemning uncivil rhetoric and violence in general, but the issue keeps escalating.
Now Clinton is finally dialing back the rhetoric after contributing to the escalating chaos to begin with. Too bad it took the issue to literally hit home for her before she felt moved to speak.
