GQ Writer Unabashedly Blames Trump for Synagogue Shooting

Share

Julia Ioffe, a correspondent for GQ magazine, has a history of making ugly comments about President Donald Trump.

On Saturday, Ioffe took that to another level with her take on just why a gunman would attack the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood.

She tweeted that President Donald Trump was to blame for the shooting Saturday morning that left 11 dead and many others wounded, which police said came after the man declared, “All Jews must die.”

Directing her message to “my fellow American Jews,” Ioffe said, “This president makes this possible. Here.”

She then referenced Trump’s decision to relocate the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, saying, “I hope the embassy move over there, where you don’t live was worth it.”

Ioffe continued by attacking his 2016 campaign ad railing against the political establishment and globalist corruption as containing “anti-Semitic dog whistles” …

… and saying Trump’s statement Wednesday that he is a “nationalist” somehow proves her point.

In case you were wondering, a vuvuzela is a loud, plastic horn that was popularized during the 2010 World Cup.

At a rally in Houston on Wednesday, the president said: “A globalist is a person that wants the globe to do well, frankly, not caring about our country so much. And you know what? We can’t have that.

“You know, they have a word — it’s sort of became old-fashioned — it’s called a nationalist. And I say, really, we’re not supposed to use that word. You know what I am? I’m a nationalist, OK? I’m a nationalist. Nationalist. Nothing wrong. Use that word. Use that word.”

Many people called out Ioffe for her claims, with some pointing out that the president’s grandchildren are Jewish.

This isn’t Ioffe’s first sickening attack on Trump. In fact, she lost a job at Politico after a tweet suggesting the president had sex with his daughter Ivanka.

It remains to be seen if Ioffe will face any career backlash for her latest disgusting tweets.
