'Sexist' Trump Has More Women as Senior Advisors than the Last 3 Presidents
Donald Trump is such a reputed sexist that, the day after his inauguration, more than half a million people descended on Washington D.C. with knit pink hats, pithy signs and scowls.
“Many in the nation’s capital and other cities said they were inspired to join because of Trump’s divisive campaign and his disparagement of women, minorities and immigrants. In signs and shouts, they mocked what they characterized as Trump’s lewd language and sexist demeanor,” The Washington Post reported after the 2017 Women’s March.
And take the motivations of the marchers: “Cynthia English, a 61-year-old Jamaican American who lives in Florida, said she wants the new president to know that women will be fighting during his presidency to ensure that the country and laws treat them equally,” The Post reported. “She was with her daughter and marching for her two granddaughters in the hope that no future president feels comfortable making lewd comments about women.”
“I don’t want this to happen to them 20 years from now, so I am making my mark now,” she said. “Why are we the ones that bring people into this world, and we are treated the worst? We should be treated with respect.”
Two years later, Trump has treated women with such disrespect that he now has more advisers of the distaff gender than any of the past three presidents.
“President Trump, often criticized for his stance toward women, employs more women as senior advisers than former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton did at the similar points in their presidencies,” the Washington Examiner reported Friday.
“Given the relative paucity of female senior presidential advisers prior to Clinton, Trump’s employment of women as key advisers at this early point in his presidency may be higher than any other president’s in history.”
This includes seven top advisers who are female. Obama and Clinton had five, and Bush had three.
The media and Democrats often criticize @realDonaldTrump for his stance toward women.
Turns out he has more women as top advisers than:
— Obama
— Bush
— Clinton

“The top advisers are White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway; CIA Director Gina Haspel, Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen, senior adviser Ivanka Trump, Director of Legislative Affairs Shahira Knight, and Director of Strategic Communications Mercedes Schlapp,” the Examiner noted.
“Trump reportedly will also nominate more women to powerful positions soon, such as U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft for U.N. ambassador and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jessie Liu for associate attorney general, a key post currently held by Rod Rosenstein.”
So clearly, the left is giving him credit for all of this.
trump is a racist, corrupt bigot who molests women, is bad at his job and should be removed from office. and you don’t need the mueller report to know any of that.

If Kellyanne Conway wanted to be a feminist… there is no way in HELL she would be working for a misogynist pig like Donald Trump… she maybe smart but she’s also pretty and blond… just how Trump likes them…

Breaking: Mueller report shows trump to be a racist, misogynist, traitorous, lying bastard.
Oh wait. No.
Trumps tweets showed that.— CountessofNambia (@theClaudiaInez) March 22, 2019
Tammy Vigil, a Boston University professor whose expertise has to deal with both the presidency and gender in politics, is among these voices.
While she told the Examiner it was “surprising” that Trump had hired so many women and that “it’s a wonderful thing” when females are hired, she argued that the women are hired as “tools for his benefit.”
“Why is he hiring these women? He’s getting something out of it,” she told the Examiner.
Vigil said that the women also have to “work around the truth” as part of their job.
“It compromises their integrity,” Vigil said. “They have to sort of give up their own honesty and integrity in order to serve the male president, which is not a good look for women, even if they are in positions of power.”
How often do you remember this argument being advanced during the Clinton or Obama administrations whenever there was some mendacity being advanced? Just throwing that out there.
The bottom line is this: Actions speak louder than words, and you can’t erase the fact Trump is advised by more women than any of the last three presidents. Not only that, but Schlapp told the Examiner that Trump “surrounds himself with very strong women with strong voices” on a variety of issues.
“We all have a seat at the table,” she said.
Another former Trump official said that the president “always understood the value women bring” to the White House.
“He treats people equally,” the source said. “He values merit and quality of work, regardless of any other attributes including gender.”
And that’s what we should be looking for. That’s what equality’s all about. That’s the kind of respect Cynthia English was talking about. Funny how we don’t hear much about this.
