Crenshaw Blasts Fencer Who Knelt During Medal Ceremony To Protest Trump
Very few people in the world know more about true sacrifice than Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas.
While serving our country in active combat, an IED exploded severely injuring him and blinding him in one eye. His famous eye-patch is a reminder of the courage he showed in the face of opposition.
So when Crenshaw gives a lesson in sacrifice, we should all take notice.
Someone who should especially pay attention is Olympic fencer, Race Imboden.
After taking a knee during the national anthem at Team USA’s medal ceremony in the Pan American Games in Peru, Imboden took to Twitter to explain why he was was so badly triggered about the very country he was representing in his foil work.

“We must call for change,” Imboden explained. “This week I am honored to represent Team USA at the Pan Am Games, taking home Gold and Bronze. My pride however has been cut short by the multiple shortcomings of the country I hold so dear to my heart. Racism, Gun Control, mistreatment of immigrants, and a president who spreads hate are at the top of a long list.”
“I chose to sacrifie [sic] my moment today at the top of the podium to call attention to issues that I believe need to be addressed. I encourage others to please use your platforms for empowerment and change.”
In addition to not being able to spell the word, it seems Imboden also has little understanding of sacrifice — a point Crenshaw made clear in his riposte to Imboden’s tweet.
“If you think this is ‘sacrifice,’ you are delusional,” Crenshaw responded to the childish tantrum.
“All you’ve done is haphazardly denounced the entirety of our country because of its imperfections.

None of us dispute Imboden’s right to take the knee or his right to expression of free speech.
But that also means the rest of us have every right to humiliate him in front of the entire world for his ignorance.
Free speech works both ways.
