Alabama star finally has enough of UCF's claim to 'real' national yitle
The University of Central Florida’s claim that they are the real national champions of college football has gone about far enough for Alabama running back Damien Harris — a member of the actual national champions, Alabama.
Alabama beat Georgia 26-23 in overtime on Jan. 8 to win the College Football Playoff Championship.
Meanwhile, UCF beat Auburn in the Peach Bowl on New Year’s Day, 34-27, to finish a perfect 13-0 season. However, they weren’t selected to be part of the four teams in the College Football Playoffs, so they couldn’t become national champs.
Instead, the Knights had to settle for being ranked No. 6 in the final college football poll.
But UCF has not been shy about saying they, and not Alabama, are the real national champions.
They had a parade through Disney World. They even changed their Twitter handle to “2017 National Champions.”
And at Sunday’s NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando, they were honored for their perfect season by the NFL.

That was about enough for Harris, the junior who rushed for 1,000 yards this past season.
