Amputee Shares Hilarious Video Showing How She Gets Her Meals Ready in the Kitchen

Share

A positive outlook on whatever life throws your way makes all the difference. Online social media personality and dancer Kristie Sita certainly has her own optimistic — and often humorous — take on living every day to the fullest.

Sita started dancing at a the young age of 5. The pursuit became her passion. Sadly, at the age of 16, the young woman was in a boating accident which ultimately led to the loss of her left hand.

“Overcoming each obstacle that has followed the amputation is what makes Kristie who she is today,” her Facebook story reads. “A courageous, driven, passionate and growing inspiration to anyone she may meet on her path.”

Sita didn’t let her loss keep her from striving for her dreams. The inspiring woman continues to dance and has worked on films such as the Disney’s “Descendants” sequels, music videos and television commercials.

Aside from her dancing, Sita also works as a Physical Disability Consultant, a job which has allowed her to help actors to represent disabilities like hers in the most authentic way possible.

In addition to all she does, Sita films videos for her YouTube channel. This is where she lays everything out, getting real about simple, everyday tasks from putting her hair up to doing her own makeup.

Several hilarious videos even feature the amputee in the kitchen. At first, it seems she might be giving a tutorial on how to cook one-handed, but then her sarcasm seeps through and you can’t help but laugh through the entire thing.

One kitchen video shows her making chicken and zucchini. A seemingly simple task, unless of course, you happen to have one hand.

Sita’s ability to make light of her one-handedness is both funny and inspiring. Rather than allow her disability to hold her back, she uses it to inspire others and even tickle their funny bones at times.

Watching her master the knife and frying pans is really something else. Sita recognizes her shortcomings and laughs at them, inspiring others to do the same wherever they may have flaws of their own.

What a truly inspiring woman. We hope to see more of her uplifting and hilarious videos in the future. She’s definitely someone worth following.
