Anti-Bullying Video Comes Back To Haunt Brian Sims After He Filmed Bullying Girls, Lone Woman

Share

It’s not uncommon for a national politician to have a bad week in the spotlight. Just ask, say, John Conyers.

If you’re a state representative and you’ve managed to become the national political kickball of the week, you’ve probably earned it. And oh, Brian Sims definitely has.

Sims came to the attention of people involved in Pennsylvania state politics or outside of his Philadelphia district when a video of him harassing an elderly woman who was protesting outside a Planned Parenthood clinic went viral in that worst of ways.

It then turned out he’d made a previous video in which he offered to make a donation to Planned Parenthood in the name of anyone who managed to dox three teens who were protesting the clinic.

Shameful. And he shot it in portrait format, on top of all of that.

Sims’ kindapology didn’t really go over too well, either, since he seemed to spend most of the time sticking up for Planned Parenthood and mentioning how awful the protesters without actually mentioning what he’d done.

Do you think Brian Sims should resign?

And then there was the other stuff. The fact that Sims had been investigated (and may still be under investigation) for ethics violations. The fact that the Planned Parenthood clinic he volunteered at and was talking up had failed 13 out of its last 23 inspections. The fact that another video showed that when he was accosted by a constituent two years ago he turned and vamoosed, certainly not a good look for someone who is perfectly happy to confront teenagers and the elderly.

Oh, and then there was his stand against bullying.

Yes, that’s coming back to haunt him now, too. Of course Sims stands against bullying because nobody gets elected to office on a pro-bullying stance; it’s not usually something that ranks high among voter priorities. However, it’s the sheer cognitive dissonance Sims’ words create that make this even more ridiculous than you might ordinarily expect:

“Every organization that has looked at the effects of bullying tell us that they last a lifetime and they stay with you,” Sims is shown saying in a BlazeTV mashup of a video of him talking about bullying with his recent livestreams.

“What we’re seeing is that if we don’t take steps to limit or prohibit discrimination in our schools, we’re going to be dealing with more and more and more school violence. Every single day, we’re trying to address issues of violence in schools, and–“

Cut to: “I’ve got $100 to anybody who will identify these three, and I will donate to Planned Parenthood … so, look, a bunch of white people standing outside of a Planned Parenthood, shaming people. There’s nothing Christian about what you’re doing.”

And cut to: “What we know is so much of it is promulgated by bullying,” followed by him trying to dox another guy and saying “it would be easier if you would just give me your name and your address.”

And cut to: “And I think all too often we say that’s boys being boys, and we say this is just mean girls and this is just the way things are.”

“It’s discrimination and nobody — nobody — should be discriminated against,” he says.

I’ll paraphrase Voltaire on God: If Brian Sims did not exist, we would have to invent him.

Sims is literally the walking contradiction of modern leftism. Bullying is hatred that stays with you for the rest of your life. Except my bullying. And that’s just love because your religious beliefs are bullying. If only we could get this guy on record about how the Green New Deal is really a bargain and how your rights end where his feelings begin, he could be like leftism’s mascot.

And much like modern leftism, he’s an abject failure. His bullying and eye-rollingly bad apology drew up to a thousand-strong protest at the Planned Parenthood he was trying to “protect.” Also, everyone now knows how dodgy the clinic’s medical record really is, which is roughly as dodgy as Sims’ ethical record in office. And this is all thanks to Sims’ massive hypocrisy.

Please, bully more people you disagree with on Facebook live, Brian Sims, particularly teenagers and the elderly. With everything you’ve managed to accomplish so far, I can only imagine you’ll manage to get Planned Parenthood shut down within a few weeks if you keep it up.
