Biden Flubs Big Opening in Florida, Thinks He's in City Halfway Across the State

He is “the biggest name to come through the area since late July,” the Tampa Bay Times reported, and according to a recent CNN/SSRS poll, he is the top Democratic choice for president in 2020.

The political luminary in question? Former Vice President Joe Biden.

However, when he was at the University of South Florida in Tampa this week, the 75-year-old didn’t know where he was.

Biden wrongly identified the city as “Miami” and then, failing to recall “Tampa,” quickly covered with “Florida.”

He was there for a rally for U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, the Times reported. But his big opportunity to wow the crowd passed him by with his fumble of something as simple as the city’s name.

Biden already has a reputation for gaffes and has shown he doesn’t always know what he is talking about.

And who could forget him jumping on former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables” bandwagon when he called supporters of President Donald Trump “the dregs of society“?

Would you like to see former Vice President Joe Biden run against President Donald Trump in 2020?

With as quick-witted as Trump has proven to be, can you imagine the two in a debate?

The president already has said he hopes he gets to run against Biden in 2020.

In a July interview with CBS News, Trump said of the potential matchup, “I dream about Biden. That’s a dream. Look, Joe Biden ran three times. He never got more than 1 percent, and President (Barack) Obama took him out of the garbage heap, and everybody was shocked that he did. I’d love to have it be Biden.”

Even some of the people who like Biden don’t think it would be a good idea for him to run against Trump.

It is yet to be seen if Biden will pursue the White House in 2020, but if he does, prepare for entertainment on a grand scale.
