'Body of Evidence' Emerging Tying Lynch, Comey Together in Massive Scandal
There have long been suspicions among Republicans that the Obama administration’s Department of Justice and FBI coordinated with each other in regard to exonerating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and ending the investigation of her scandalous use of a private email server.
Based on recent commentary from Republican North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus and member of the Oversight Committee, it would appear that a “growing body of evidence” has been uncovered to support and ultimately prove such coordination took place between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and fired FBI Director James Comey, among others.
Independent Journal Review reported on Meadows’ remarks during a Thursday appearance on Fox News, in which the congressman revealed the existence of documents, emails and texts which would prove that Comey had lied under oath to Congress when he assured them there’d been no such coordination on the Clinton investigation.
“We have a number of documents, a growing body of evidence, that now would suggest that Director Comey, who under sworn testimony a number of times said, there was no coordination between Loretta Lynch’s DOJ and (Comey’s) FBI investigation,” stated Meadows.
“Not only was that false … but we have emails that would suggest that testimony was false, and at best misled the American public, at worst was lying to Congress,” he continued.
“And here we are today with emails, text messages that says even the ‘no coordination’ message that Director Comey put out on that infamous day in July was actually suggested by the Department of Justice,” added Meadows.
Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade read portions of texts at that time between FBI agent Peter Strzok and attorney Lisa Page which noted the terrible “timing” of the announcement (that Lynch would accept whatever the FBI recommended) and how it would appear “choreographed.”
Kilmeade compared the back-and-forth in the messages to a “third-rate movie” and noted, “These people are supposed to be guarding our secrets and seeking truth and justice. They don’t even know how to secure their own texts.”
Newsmax noted that Meadows agreed that the texts between Strzok and Page about “timing” were interesting, but stated, “There is another email from the Department of Justice that would indicate that, on how to articulate the exoneration of Hillary Clinton.”
“So as you go further from another source, other than Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, within the Department of Justice, we now know that the ‘edits,’ that they had given edits to Director Comey, or at least the emails would suggest that.”
Meadows added that the revelation would seem to undercut and prove Comey’s narrative “inaccurate” that he is some sort of “boy scout” who was “above reproach.”
Kilmeade pointed out that both Comey and fired Deputy Director Andrew McCabe appeared to be “turning on each other” and surmised that the actual truth could emerge from their conflicting testimony.
Meadows agreed and stated, “What we have is beyond just the two of them though. It’s other people within the FBI and DOJ who know that the testimony that Director Comey gave before Congress was not entirely the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”
“As we look at that there is also additional evidence that would suggest that DOJ narrowed the scope of the Hillary investigation to make sure she was exonerated.”
As has been suspected by some for quite some time, it appears that evidence has been unearthed which will expose actual “collusion” between sympathetic government officials with a goal toward protecting Hillary Clinton from criminal prosecution and clearing the way for her campaign for the presidency.
