Boyfriend Accidentally Knocks Girlfriend Down to Floor Just Before Proposing
Unique proposals are always fun and memorable. Some of the best ones, however, don’t always go according to plan.
One couple from Seward, Nebraska, knows this better than anyone. While what happened to Kyle Pierce and Jenna Eller could’ve ruined their special moment, they decided to laugh about it, making the moment all the more memorable.
Jenna, who attends Concordia University, was in the midst of a volleyball match on Oct. 30. She had no idea what was about to take place in the gym that day.
Kyle waited expectantly in the background, watching for the perfect moment when a volleyball would pass over Jenna’s head and lead her straight to him.
Watch as the couple runs into each other — literally. Kyle accidentally knocks Jenna down just before dropping to the ground himself.
Jenna doesn’t at all seem fazed by the mishap, however. When Kyle shows her the volleyball he holds, the accident seems forgotten.
“Will you marry me?” was written in big black letters across the ball. Jenna’s reaction is priceless as she covers her mouth with one hand while Kyle proposes. The pair can’t stop smiling.
“The man of my dreams pulled off a pretty big surprise last night!!” Jenna wrote on Facebook. “I’m beyond excited to see all that’s in store for Kyle and I.”
“Thank you to my coaches, family and friends that made yesterday so special! God is so good.”
“We’ve had a lot of memorable moments In this gym,” Kyle shared on Facebook. “But this one is by far my favorite. Thanks to everyone that made this happen!”
The video of Kyle’s proposal has since gone viral, with a feature on The TODAY Show and thousands of views to its name.
Wow! What started as a sweet moment in a gym surrounded by friends and family ended up touching the hearts of people from all over! I’ll bet these two never expected that!
Congratulations for the happy couple have poured in through comments on Facebook. We wish them all the best as well as they begin their lives together.
