Browns QB's Spark Internet Firestorm with Special 'Base' They Hauled To Training Camp
Whether or not the Cleveland Browns will be any good at all in 2018 after an 0-16 debacle of a 2017 campaign is an open question that will be settled on the field.
Whether or not Browns training camp will be the most fun series of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” yet seems a bit easier to suss out.
Because Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield, the team’s quarterbacks, just brought an homage to “Breaking Bad” into the parking lot, and the Internet has fallen in love.
Dianna Russini of ESPN explained on Twitter:
Browns quarterbacks Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield have acquired an RV and parked it here on the premises for training camp so they can have a top secret clubhouse. Only QBs allowed inside for now and no name yet. They won’t tell me what goes on inside.

It’s possible that Taylor and Mayfield are just in there hiding from coach Hue Jackson, who is still the head coach of the team despite his 1-31 record in the position over the past two seasons.
See the RV for yourself, parked out there, a secret clubhouse for Browns quarterbacks only.

Consider the idea of a seven-win improvement in wins from one season to the next.
For a team like the 49ers, that would mean going from 6-10 to 13-3, which would probably be enough to get them home field advantage in the NFC Championship game.
Even for the wretched Giants, a seven-win rise would mean going 10-6 and quite likely making the playoffs.
For the Browns? A seven-win improvement would mean they still have a losing season.

So anything that gets Cleveland Browns fans smiling is bound to be a good thing, and a secret clubhouse for the team’s No. 1 overall draft pick and a veteran quarterback who can mentor him away from the watchful eye of one of the worst coaches by record in the history of sports can’t be all bad.
Plus, it gives the fans something to talk about besides actual football, which historically has been a recipe for disaster in the “Factory of Sadness” that is Cleveland Browns Stadium.
And the efforts the fans make to name the thing?
Ahem. Via @markumansky and @thekeyplay , the official name is the Tyrod Traylor

Comedy gold, folks.
The Browns may not be good in 2018. They could improve by four wins and still be atrocious. Hue Jackson could set an unbreakable record for how many games a coach has to lose in a row before he finally gets fired (17 and counting; even Rich Kotite lost only 13 straight with the Jets.)
But they’ll make a great series of “Hard Knocks.”
