Charles Barkley gives brutal reality check to current NBA player

Share

It’s the NBA playoffs, where everything is under a microscope.

There’s not a great pass or huge shot that goes unnoticed.

And unfortunately for Milwaukee guard Eric Bledsoe, that extends to stupid comments.

The Bucks come home trailing two games to nothing in their first-round matchup with Boston.

The first game was a thriller, with the Celtics holding on for a 113-107 overtime win.

Boston guard Terry Rozier hit a critical 3-pointer that nearly won the game in regulation.

For the game, the Louisville product went off for a career playoff-high 23 points.

Do you think Eric Bledsoe clowned himself with his comments about Terry Rozier?

Tuesday night, Rozier was at it again, with 23 more, to go with eight assists. Boston won 120-106.

Yet after Game 2, when Bledsoe was asked about his counterpart, he tried to play it cool.

“Who?” he responded. “I don’t even know who the f— that is.”

Charles Barkley was not having it.

“Eric Bledsoe, you know I love you but Terry Rozier is the guy who is whooping your ass right now,” he said on TNT.

Good call by Sir Charles.

First, look back at the shot from Game 1.

That’s Bledsoe who was “guarding” Rozier, only to have his ankles broken with a killer crossover.

Perhaps this stems from the postgame news conference Sunday, when the emerging Celtics star mistakenly referred to his opposite number as “Drew” Bledsoe, the former NFL quarterback.

That seemed to be an innocent mistake.

The third-year Celtics guard was not about to be pulled into a war of words with an opposing player, as he told Yahoo! Sports reporter Ben Rohrbach.

“I’m concentrated on the Milwaukee Bucks-Boston Celtics matchup,” Rozier said. “If he don’t know who I am, it’s all good. … I don’t even think it’s funny. He might be talking out of spite or something.”

After being outscored 46-21 by a player he doesn’t know, we’ll assume Bledsoe will hear a lot about Rozier before Friday’s Game 3 in Milwaukee.
