Man Sends Avenatti Critical Message, So Avenatti Gets Employers to Punish Him With Suspension
It would seem that Michael Avenatti gets a twisted kind of thrill out of exacting revenge against those who push back against his kind of ugly political discourse.
Avenatti is the attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels and he represents a woman identified as Julie Swetnick, the latest to bring explosive sexual allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Butch Grove, a private school administrator at Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas, has been indefinitely suspended from his position for sending a message via social media to attorney Michael Avenatti containing profane language, according to The Hill.
And Avenatti seems rather proud of himself that he had the horsepower to get the man in trouble with his boss.
For a man who represents porn stars and promotes allegations against Supreme Court nominees that cannot be substantiated, Avenatti responds to Grove with a tone of arrogance and indignation, as if to suggest he’s above being challenged in public.
Grove sent a messages calling Avanatti: “f***ing douche bag” and a “lying piece of s***.”
Yes, pretty strong words for a school administrator.
So, the school acted and suspended Grove indefinitely. This message was posted on the school’s Facebook page as reported by Star-Telegram.
“It was brought to my attention that Butch Groves, Head of Upper School, sent an inappropriate private message to attorney Michael Avenatti from his personal social media account,” stated Head of School Jon Kellam. “I have been in contact with Mr. Groves who has admitted to the communication. He deeply regrets his comments and the negative attention brought to the school.”

There just seems to be a bit too much spite coming from Avenatti toward Grove for the tweet.
The Hill reported Avenatti posted a followup tweet, since made non-public, that describes him gloating about Grove’s dismissal.
“Let this be a lesson to those that believe that they can send abusive messages to me or others without consequence. People are free to engage in spirited debate but if you are abusive, you will be held accountable.”

And naturally, Avenatti’s other public statements Wednesday showed what a high-class guy he is.

Yes, perhaps Grove should have thought twice and considered his position before publicly using such vulgar language. However, there is sympathy on social media for him and some feel the consequences were too severe for the action.

There were also many attacks toward Grove, of course. The compassionate left came out in droves to kick the man when he was down.
Was it wrong for Grove to embarrass his employer like this? Probably. But the consequences are way out of line.
