Cuomo Can't Stomach Rosie, Tells Her To Leave Trump Alone for Her Dignity's Sake
She’s at it again, and this time she’s not getting the loving leftist support typically seen when liberals gather to complain about President Donald Trump.
Rosie O’Donnell is explosive in a loose cannon kind of way as she was interviewed by CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Monday.
During the exchange, O’Donnell mused on the ouster of the president, as she apparently believed that also to be the wish of most of America.
Of course she believes the outcome of the 2016 election was rigged, as well. And she believes in the blue-wave will sweep over America and be the catalyst to impeach the president.
Surprisingly, Cuomo wasn’t dolling out the warm fuzzies as she spews inaccuracies about the president and his popularity. He actually challenges her on many of her erroneous accusations, with unexpected legitimacy and reason.
When Cuomo confronted her with the idea that Trump is truly popular among voters across America, O’Donnell insisted that popularity was the result of paid players, but Cuomo actually set her straight on what is fact and what is fiction regarding the president’s following at his personal appearances across the country.
Watch:
“People are paid, Chris,” she claimed. “We know that. People were paid since he went down on the escalator. He pays people to show up at those rallies.”
“But I don’t know that that’s why he gets tens of thousands at the rallies,” Cuomo asserted. “I think he captures a lot of emotion for people.”
While O’Donnell stood by her argument that Trump rallies do not attract tens of thousands of people, Cuomo pushed back.
“Rosie, I’ve seen them. He gets big groups of people to come out. He gives themes that resonate,” Cuomo said.
“But Chris, are people paid?” O’Donnell asked again.
“I don’t know, I don’t have the facts that his crowds are bought off. I don’t have that,” Cuomo repeated. “I’m not going to say, ‘they’re all bought off, they’re all fake,’ because I think that’s b.s., I don’t think it’s true. I’m not going to play to it just because it’s satisfying.”
While the liberal media has yet to prove — or even produce any evidence for — O’Donnell’s claims that people are paid to attend Trump rallies, there is evidence that powerful influences on the left are paying protesters.
In 2016 The Daily Caller uncovered Craigslist advertisements searching for protesters. They verified payment of $16.00 per hour for hires to rabble rouse at Trump rallies:
“This free speech-busting goon squad operation is directed by supporters of Hillary Clinton. It is paid for mostly by George Soros and MoveOn.org and pushed by David Brock at Media Matters for America. It’s also funded by reclusive billionaire Jonathan Lewis, who was identified by the Miami New Times as a ‘mystery man.'”
“A march and demonstration against Trump at Trump Tower essentially fizzled Saturday when only 500 ‘protesters’ of the promised 5000 showed up,” the anonymous Daily Caller reported wrote. “Infiltrating the crowd, I learned most were from MoveOn or the Occupy movement. Soap was definitely in short supply in this crowd. Several admitted answering a Craig’s list ad paying $16.00 an hour for protesters.”
The Washington Times also reported in 2015 that Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now paid Ferguson protesters $5,000, and that the tables were turned when ACORN stopped the flow of cash.
If support for President Trump grows through the November election cycle, perhaps Rosie O’Donnell will come to grips with reality.
Or maybe not.
But it is certain that at least some in the liberal media are hedging their bets when it comes to blindly bashing the president. That strategy just isn’t working for them any more.
