'Gone with the Wind' Returning to Theaters To Celebrate Its 80th Anniversary
Frankly, my dear, it’s back again. After 80 years, ‘Gone with the Wind’ is back in theaters and you are not going to want to miss it.
The classic movie will be shown in movie theaters for two days according to KHOU, allowing a new generation of moviegoers to see Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler back in action once again.
Select theaters will be running “Gone with the Wind” on Feb. 28 and Mar. 3 on the big screen to celebrate its 80th anniversary.
This is the perfect opportunity for parents and grandparents to let their kids see an all-American classic film that they grew up with.
Viewers will once again see southerners Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Olivia De Havilland, Leslie Howard, and Hattie McDaniel during the American Civil War and Reconstruction period.
See the tumultuous love affair between Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler and remember those famous lines that are still used in pop culture today.
“Gone with the Wind” is a film that was adapted from the 1936 novel by Margaret Mitchell and it certainly does not disappoint.
While “tomorrow is another day,” this movie is only going to be here for a short time.
The 1939 movie will play at participating theaters across the U.S.

The movie will run for four hours with a four-minute intermission.
The return of “Gone with the Wind” is part of TMC Big Screen Classics Series, which will bring 14 classic films back to the theaters.
Moviegoers will also have the chance to see “My Fair Lady,” “The Godfather Part II,” “To Kill a Mocking Bird,” “Steel Magnolias,” and “Alien.”
Viewers can also still catch “The Wizard of Oz” in theaters on Feb. 3 and Feb. 5 as an encore presentation.
