HGTV Star Announces Pregnancy with New Husband

Share

Babies have a way of radically reorienting one’s life. No matter your age or how many kids you’ve raised, a new little life has a way of turning things upside down.

Every child has his or her own personality, one that shines through even in their very first moments of entering the world. And every woman finds herself facing a different stage of life when welcoming a new baby.

My wife and I found that to be true when our third child arrived. So has Christina Anstead (formerly Christina El Moussa) of HGTV’s “Flip or Flop.”

Christina is certainly no stranger to life changes. People reported how the star of the real estate investing show rose to fame with her one-time husband Tarek El Moussa. However, their marriage very publicly dissolved.

After a lengthy separation, they divorced in 2017. In November of that year, Christina met Ant Anstead, a British television personality and auto enthusiast.

Perhaps it was something about their shared background in TV or undeniable chemistry, but months after meeting, they married on Dec. 22, 2018.

“I am incredibly grateful to have met her,” Ant said. Christina added, “We saved each other.”

Christina was soon in for some surprising news. After the couple’s honeymoon, she discovered that she was pregnant, according to Popsugar.

“Ant and I are so excited to announce baby Anstead coming this September!” she announced on March 23. “The kids are all so excited to meet their new sibling.”

However, Christina has found this pregnancy more challenging than her previous two.

“Now that I can talk about (it), the first trimester was brutal! Maybe it’s my age (35 is considered a geriatric pregnancy),” she wrote on Instagram.

“Or maybe I just forgot how bad it was with Tay and Bray. But yikes, it really blindsided me.”

She went on to describe how fatigue and nausea had basically floored her. She also praised Ant for his understanding and kindness.

“Going to try and enjoy the second trimester while it’s here. Thank you to my amazing husband for being so supportive while his new bride was complaining and a little more cray than usual,” Christina wrote.

Her fans were over the moon about the news, according to House Beautiful. “You guys make love believable,” one wrote.

Another added, “Yay! Congratulations! I’ve loved following you for so many years and getting to see you rise again and find true love and real happiness!”
