'Impartial' CNN Calls Pelosi a 'Bad***,' Gives Her Rock Star Treatment
News outlet CNN prides themselves on hard-hitting journalism and unbiased stories.
The only problem? Not many people are buying that ruse, especially after a recent segment where CNN’s Dana Bash profiled Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi as one of the “Bad— Women of Washington.”
In many ways, Nancy Pelosi is the original Badass Woman of Washington https://t.co/BRqYRyF17K#BadassWomenDC with @DanaBashCNN pic.twitter.com/VWcLaHBcPt

Although Bash’s opening description of Pelosi as a leading champion of women seems sickly sweet, it’s one of the milder moments of the video.
The piece continues to fawn over Pelosi before finally moving on to her upbringing in Maryland. Her father was Baltimore’s first Catholic mayor and a major influence over her life. The interview then turned to her lesser-known mother.
“Your mom actually patented a device, the first device to apply steam to the face,” Bash began before describing the device. Apparently blown away by Pelosi’s mother designing a home beauty care product, Bash quickly added an excited “that’s incredible!”
During the segment, Bash surprised Pelosi by showing her a restoration of a long-gone family oil portrait. After, the journalist-politician duo even went out for dessert at Pelosi’s favorite ice cream parlor. As the camera whizzes past biscotti, ice cream, and other sweets, the interview begins to look less like a serious journalistic endeavor and more like a fantastical scene from “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”
If this seems like a bad time for CNN to be running a puff piece on a leading Democrat, that’s because it is.
Devastated by low ratings and engaged in a legal battle with the White House, the media company’s reputation is currently in tatters.
President Donald Trump has been quick to capitalize on his nemesis’ downturn, calling out “fake news” CNN whenever he has the chance.
One tweet, showing an edited video of Trump attacking a man with the CNN logo over his face, caught the ire of the network. CNN caught flak for essentially blackmailing the video’s creator in response.

CNN’s anti-Trump sentiment is apparently shared by some of its staff as well.
Jim Acosta, CNN’s seemingly former chief White House correspondent, is currently making headlines after a temper tantrum and a scuffle over a microphone led to him losing his White House press pass.
CNN’s response was to file a lawsuit naming Trump, a few members of his administration, and even the Secret Service officer who took the pass away. That’s going to be great for their reputation.
If you need to know whether CNN is truly unbiased, ask yourself: “Would they take Donald Trump out for ice cream?”
The answer? Not likely, since CNN previously painted Trump as a tyrannical ice cream overlord, giving guests at his table a portion only half his size.
