John Daly hurts knee in freak parking accident near the Masters
Leave it to golf legend John Daly to steal a few Masters headlines despite the fact that he’s not even participating.
Daly, 51, was injured when a driver lost control of her car while making a U-turn and crashed into his parked bus in Augusta on Friday, per WRDW.

Despite not participating in the Masters, Daly has made it a point to travel to Augusta every year for the big tournament to meet golf fans and sell merchandise.
Daly and his fiancée, Anna Cladakis, were selling merchandise from his RV fan while parked outside of a Hooters restaurant when the accident occurred.
“It whaled into the front of the bus,” Cladakis told the Golf Channel. “John dove out of the way, he tweaked his knee.”
Neither Cladakis nor the unidentified woman driver who crashed her car were seriously injured. Innocent bystanders were unharmed as well.
“I can’t believe no one got hit. This is the people-watching spot. She was going 40 mph,” Cladakis said. “It happened so fast.”
Daly, however, did get an MRI on his injured knee.
The incident could actually have an impact on Daly because he is still very much active on the PGA Tour Champions circuit. He actually placed third at a tournament in January.
“Hopefully I’ll be ready to play (golf) next week,” Daly said.
Despite the relative lack of significant injury, the car accident capped off a whirlwind couple of weeks for Daly.
In late March, he celebrated his 10-year anniversary with Cladakis.
Happy 10 years Anniversary to this amazing man!! @PGA_JohnDaly I thank God for you and love you more every day! The years truly do get sweeter!….“Once in a while in the middle of ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale.” ❤️😘 pic.twitter.com/s0HXYgVU58

Shortly after that, Daly got his bus back from the mechanic after it went into the shop for hurricane damage repairs.
Daly has not participated in the Masters itself since 2006.
