We've moved subscription providers to give our readers the best possible experience. As part of this change, you will no longer need a password to log in. To log in, while on The Western Journal, click the “Login” button found on the top right header of the page. Then enter your email address in the pop-up login window. Membership charges for current and new subscribers will appear on your card or bank statement as “WesternJournal” or "WJ Membership".
Before purchasing a membership, you can login and create a free account or log in to your existing one. Just click the “Log In” button in the header of any page (on mobile, this can be found in the sections tab indicated by the “☰” icon). Yes. Because these are two separate platforms, the login you use to comment on articles is separate from the ad-free* membership login. To purchase a new ad-free* membership, you will need to create an account to complete the transaction. You can still sign up for our commenting widget without having to purchase a membership.
This means that even when logged in, video ads served from third party players, outside of The Western Journal's control, may still appear. Additionally, highly native "Site-Takeover" content may still appear. Periodically, we may introduce new features or benefits, the continuation of which is not guaranteed, and these additions may include advertising. WJ Games are not part of the ad-free* experience.
Please refresh the current page and the ads should disappear. If you continue to see ads, please contact us at support@westernjournal.com for further help.
Review your cookies settings, edge://settings/content/cookies If you have "Allow sites to save and read cookie data" turned off it would cause this behavior. To fix this you would need to add www.westernjournal.com to the allow section in settings or turn on "Allow sites to save and read cookie data". If this isn't you, then try to clear cookies and try logging back in to see if the issue persists. If they have any extensions running you can try to disable them and try logging in again and see if that helps as well.
AdBlockers. Any of these running on Edge can also cause our subscriptions to work improperly, we recommend disabling them when on our site.
