LeBron James just took his most ridiculous shot at Trump yet
It’s safe to say that LeBron James and President Donald Trump won’t be exchanging Christmas cards anytime soon.
While Trump hasn’t minded picking fights with the NFL or the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, he has been relatively mum on James.
That being said, James has never shied away from attacking Trump at any opportunity he can find.
James infamously called Trump a “bum” after the president rescinded a White House invitation to the NBA champion Warriors after they waffled on a potential visit.

“The guy in control has given people and racism, and negative racism, an opportunity to be out and outspoken without fear,” James said, essentially accusing Trump of tacitly endorsing racism, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
James also took to social media to bash Trump shortly after a violent rally in Virginia.
“It’s sad what’s going on in Charlottesville,” he tweeted. “Is this the direction our country is heading? Make America Great Again huh?!”
LeBron followed that up by saying, “Hate has always existed in America. Yes we know that but Donald Trump just made it fashionable again!”
At the end of the day, James’ ramblings on Trump could mostly be chalked up to finger-pointing and name-calling.
It’s not exactly the most mature way to handle disdain for someone, but not outrageously malicious either.
Now, accusing the president of the United States of not caring about people? That seems particularly outrageous and idiotic.
And yet that’s exactly what James chose to do on the “Uninterrupted” show “Rolling with the Champion.”
“Uninterrupted” is LeBron’s media company, described on YouTube as “an all-digital sports programming network with videos from the athlete’s perspective.”
While having a conversation with Kevin Durant and host Cari Champion, James tore into Trump with vitriol.
“The climate is hot. The No. 1 job in America, the appointed person is someone who doesn’t understand the people,” James began.
“And [Trump] really don’t give a f— about the people,” he said.
That’s just patently false. Much of Trump’s focus as president has been on reducing taxes and increasing border security for the safety and betterment of the American people.
It’d be one thing for James to disagree with Trump’s methods of helping the people, but to insinuate that Trump doesn’t care at all is just intellectually dishonest and lazy.
Ironically, James is one of millions of Americans who will benefit from Trump’s tax plan, as he gets to keep more of his $33 million annual salary.
“And this time, right now, with the president of the United States, it’s at a bad time. While we cannot change what comes out of that man’s mouth, we can continue to alert the people that watch us, that listen to us, as this is not the way,” James continued.
“This is not the way” for what, exactly?
If LeBron wants to continue to needle Trump, he should stick with finger-pointing and name-calling.
Anytime he tries to do more than that, he just turns out to be demonstrably wrong.
