Only Living Grandson of Elvis Presley Is Spitting Image of King of Rock 'N' Roll

Share

My youngest child sometimes takes my breath away, and it’s not because he’s your typical cute and cuddly toddler (although he certainly is). Rather, it’s because of how much he resembles my father.

Sometimes this little 2-year-old will lift his eyebrows in a certain way or give a stormy glower, and it’s like I’m looking at a very young version of my dad. But you know what the craziest thing is?

The two of them never met. My father passed away seven years prior to the birth of this little child.

Such are mysterious workings of genetics, and it doesn’t just happen in my family. Just look at the eerie resemblance between Elvis Presley and his sole living grandson.

The King of Rock and Roll had one of the most memorable faces in popular music. Piercing blue eyes. Pouty lips. A swept-back wing of black hair.

Well, Shared has noted that Presley’s grandson, Benjamin Keough, doesn’t have his grandfather’s coiffure. He’s a natural blond instead.

But the 26-year-old Keough is otherwise a dead ringer for Presley. In fact, the resemblance is so striking it seems almost strange.

Country Rebel reported that his mother, Lisa Marie Presley, said, “He does (look so much like him)! He was at the Opry and was the quiet storm behind the stage.

“Everybody turned around and looked when he was over there. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny.

“Sometimes I am overwhelmed when I look at him.” However, there’s one way in which Keough is very different from his grandfather.

Unlike Elvis, he has never sought the spotlight. That also sets him apart from his sister, Riley Keough, who has actively sought a Hollywood career.

She appeared in numerous films, including big-named titles such as “Magic Mike” and “Mad Max: Fury Road.” However, her brother has largely stayed under the radar.

In 2009, several news sources stated that Keough had received an impressive recording contract. The Daily Mail reported that he would receive roughly $5 million for multiple albums.

However, other reports flatly contradicted that. According to People magazine, that just wasn’t so. In fact, Peter LoFrumento, Executive Vice President of Universal Music Group (which was supposed to have signed Keough), said, “This story is totally untrue.”

Keough has gotten his toes wet working on at least one tune. He helped his mother record a digital duet with Elvis.

Presley’s grandson may not have the professional career of the King of Rock and Roll, but he has Elvis’ image stamped on his very self.
