Major Hypocrisy: Obama, A-Listers Flocking to Google Summit on Climate Change in Private Jets, Yachts, Helicopters

It’s a bird, it’s a plane — it’s super-hypocrisy!

For decades, the left’s elite and Hollywood hotshots have cried foul about human beings’ so-called catastrophic impact on climate change and the environment.

Naturally, that hasn’t stopped celebrities from traveling worldwide on luxury aircraft and in fancy, gas-guzzling vehicles — all in the name of, well, helping the climate.

Fox News reported that former President Barack Obama along with actor Leonardo DiCaprio and singer Katy Perry are gathering this week for Google Camp’s summit in Sicily, Italy, where they’ll discuss saving the planet.

How exactly will such A-listers contribute to that cause? By flying on 114 private jets, an Italian news site reported, according to Fox News.

Washington Examiner reporter Ellie Bufkin called out the attendees’ double standard via Twitter.

She tweeted that although the Italy-based summit’s main subject is global warming, “fleets of megayachts, and private helicopters are not exactly ‘on brand’ for climate activism.”

In other words: Do as they say, not as they do.

Another Twitter user wrote about the leftists’ undisguised pretense in regard to Mother Earth.

As Bufkin reported in the Examiner, “Some estimates suggest that up to 100,000 kilograms of CO2 could be expelled into the air during the journeys of that many private jets.”

I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning, to paraphrase Robert Duvall’s famous line about napalm in “Apocalypse Now.”

Speaking of which, an environmental apocalypse has been predicted by democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and seven-figure earners who don’t think twice about excessively traveling cross-country and abroad.

Do you think leftists are hypocrites about climate change?

Democratic presidential hopeful and climate-change hypocrite Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont continued to undermine his own proposals at Tuesday’s debate in Detroit, where he said, “My administration will bring the hemisphere together.”

We can’t be sure Sanders and celebrities in his tax bracket will rescue the planet. In trying to do so, however, they will pollute the air like nobody’s business.

Up, up and away they go.
