Man Gets out of Car and Starts Dancing in Road During Rush Hour Traffic
Viral videos — they’ve become all the rage in recent years. They make us laugh until we cry, and sometimes they even point us toward something we never expected.
Some of the most popular viral videos by far are ones in which we witness an individual dancing his or her heart out.
“Baby Shark” dancing videos, for example, have been laughed at by children and parents alike. They’re all pretty hilarious, but everyone has a favorite.
Then there are the lip sync battle videos created by first responders across the country. Watching police officers and firefighters dance around to popular songs is pretty funny.
The best part about these performances is how seriously the responders take the challenge. You don’t mess with an officer on a mission to win this war.
But what’s possibly the most epic of all dance parties is the random dance party. The one during a traffic jam when a man gets out of his car for no particular reason at all.
One man from Maryland did just that. While traffic was stopped near Falls Road and Lake Avenue, according to WTTG, a driver stepped out of his vehicle and began dancing in the middle of the street.
The entire show was caught on camera by Erin Konheim Mandras. She saw the man and slowed down to capture the once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Watch as this gentleman, whom Fox News reported was a police officer, breaks out the moves he probably didn’t even know he had!
“I couldn’t make this up if I tried,” Erin wrote in her caption. “I guess this man thought it was a good time to bust out his dance moves while in construction traffic on a Tuesday morning … and yes I stopped to video it.”
The video has been viewed over 60K times in just a couple of weeks. — yet another funny moment that’s gained quite a bit of attention.
But what’s perhaps even more of note is the woman behind the camera. Erin’s son Austin struggles with allergies, and the Pikesville mom even wrote a book about it, according to the Baltimore Jewish Times.
“It is a great read for anyone touched by the world of food allergies,” the director of pediatric allergy and immunology at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Dr. Robert Wood, said.
If you’d like to learn more about “Austin’s Allergies” or even purchase a copy for yourself, please visit the book’s website. “A portion of the book’s proceeds will be donated to research and education,” the Jewish Times reported.
Sometimes, all it takes is one viral video to point you in the right direction. Perhaps all this attention on the dancing man may just be an open door to something so much more important.
