Missouri Congressman Drowns Out Protester with Auctioneer Call
When activist Laura Loomer stood up and started shouting in a hearing that included Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey today, she probably thought she would get a little more attention than the protester-thick Kavanaugh proceedings.
That is, until Missouri Rep. Billy Long, of Billy Long Auctions, LLC, started calling back with his own brand of noise.
The Republican representative worked as an auctioneer for 30 years, and his skill shows it. He was able to snap right into the drone of a cattle salesman at the drop of a hat.
And that’s a curve ball Loomer wasn’t expecting.
Her shouts and protests were drowned out in the auctioneer’s rattle, calls for order, and chuckles from the crowd. She continued to protest however, making her anger at big social media companies known.
Police eventually escorted her out of the room.
This interruption is in stark contrast to the ones that marred the opening of Brett Kavanaugh’s hearings. There were over 40 disruptions in the first hour of his hearing, but simmered down into a steady stream for the rest of the day.
Reports are starting to trickle in that the protesters at Kavanaugh’s hearing were paid operatives.
Laura Loomer appeared to be live streaming or recording during her incident, pleading with President Donald Trump to step in. She implored Trump to stop Twitter’s CEO, because he is ‘trying to influence the election.’
Loomer’s concerns with Twitter echo what others on the right have been discovering: their practice of shadow banning conservatives.
Twitter isn’t alone in being accused of putting their fingers on the scale.
Facebook has their own algorithm which appears to have an anti-conservative bias. Page views for conservative content has plummeted since Trump took office.
Google is also under fire for their business practices, with even the president chiming in on the debate.
Google search results for “Trump News” shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake News Media. In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. Fake CNN is prominent. Republican/Conservative & Fair Media is shut out. Illegal? 96% of….

Some are calling for the big social network companies to be busted up like monopolies, but others are fighting for a free market solution. Competition would give alternatives to the big social networks that many are becoming increasingly jaded with, but may only be possible by government action in Washington, D.C.
Although the only thing you’re guaranteed to see in Washington right now is chaos.
