NYT Literally Blames Trump After Apologizing for Anti-Semitic Cartoon It Chose to Publish
The New York Times editorial board blamed President Donald Trump after the paper published an absurdly anti-Semitic cartoon last week.
The anti-Semitic cartoon, which was published in The Times’ international issue last Thursday, featured President Donald Trump in a skullcap being led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was depicted as a dog.
The Times eventually retracted the cartoon and admitted that it was “offensive” and featured “anti-Semitic tropes.”

But on Tuesday, the editorial board of The Times blamed Trump for its own decision to publish the anti-Semitic cartoon.
The Times acknowledged the “bigoted” nature of the cartoon but asserted the editor responsible didn’t know it was anti-Semitic. “The cartoon was chosen from a syndication service by a production editor who did not recognize its anti-Semitism,” the board claimed.
“Yet however it came to be published, the appearance of such an obviously bigoted cartoon in a mainstream publication is evidence of a profound danger — not only of anti-Semitism but of numbness to its creep, to the insidious way this ancient, enduring prejudice is once again working itself into public view and common conversation,” the board continued.
And The Times holds Trump responsible for not doing enough to stop the “creep” of anti-Semitism, which eventually resulted in the anti-Semitic cartoon being published.
“As anti-Semitism has surged from the internet into the streets, President Trump has done too little to rouse the national conscience against it.”
That’s strange for The Times to write, considering Trump is the most pro-Israel president to ever serve in the White House.
It’s also hypocritical that The Times is blaming Trump for not doing enough to curtail anti-Semitism, despite the fact that the company is responsible for publishing an offensive anti-Semitic cartoon.
Trump even condemned The Times for its anti-Semitism, as the board notes.
“Though he condemned the cartoon in The Times, he has failed to speak out against anti-Semitic groups like the white nationalists who marched in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017 chanting, ‘Jews will not replace us.'”
The New York Times has apologized for the terrible Anti-Semitic Cartoon, but they haven’t apologized to me for this or all of the Fake and Corrupt news they print on a daily basis. They have reached the lowest level of “journalism,” and certainly a low point in @nytimes history!

Trump has been extremely pro-Israel, has Jewish family members and consistently condemns anti-Semitism, whether it comes from The Times or Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar.
Note that while The Times specifically referred to Trump, the board failed to mention Omar by name in the column.
Unlike Trump, Omar actually spews anti-Semitic rhetoric and has the support of rabid anti-Semites such as Linda Sarsour.
The Times is right that there is a rising tide of anti-Semitism, but it’s coming from Democrats and the left-wing media.
