Poetic Justice: Nick Sandmann's Family Just Sued WaPo for the Entire Amount Bezos Paid for Paper in 2013

Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann is only 16 years old, but that didn’t save him from being viciously attacked by the media.

Now he’s striking back with a $250 million lawsuit against The Washington Post.

Sandmann and other students from Covington became part of a national controversy over an encounter with Native American activist Nathan Phillips after last month’s March for Life in Washington.

Sandmann stood and smiled while Phillips, a known attention-seeker, loudly banged a drum in his face during the incident near the Lincoln Memorial.

The media didn’t hesitate to convey Sandmann as a racist and zealously report Phillips’ sob story — he originally claimed he was surrounded while the kids chanted “build the wall.”

In reality, there is no proof that Sandmann and his fellow students did anything “racist.”

But reports from media outlets like The Post led to a witch hunt against the high school kids.

Should more media outlets be sued over the Covington case?

Twitter-verified liberals wished violence upon the students, tried to dox them and peddled the outright lie that the Jan. 18 confrontation was sparked by the students’ “racism.”

Sandmann’s lawyer, Lin Wood, filed a complaint against The Post on Tuesday, according to the New York Post.

“Washington Post recklessly ignored basic journalist standards because it was eager to advance its biased agenda against@realDonaldTrump by impugning individuals perceived to be his supporters,” Wood tweeted Tuesday.

According to the complaint, The Post used Sandmann like a “pawn” against the Trump administration.

“The Post wanted to lead the charge against this child because he was a pawn in its political war against its political adversary – a war so disconnected and beyond the comprehension of Nicholas that it might as well have been science fiction,” the complaint states.

The$250 million in damages Sandmann and his family are seeking is the same amount billionaire Jeff Bezos paid to purchase the paper, according to news reports from the 2013 purchase.

“In order to fully compensate Nicholas for his damages and to punish, deter, and teach the Post a lesson it will never forget, this action seeks money damages in excess of Two Hundred and Fifty Million Dollars,” the complaint read.

In other words, Sandmann is suing The Post for the cost of the entire paper.

And how this 16-year-old was treated by the national media, including The Post, a jury just might think that’s a fair price.

Hopefully, The Post is only the first target on Sandmann’s list. The establishment media needs to be taught a lesson.
