Police arrest Larry Nassar's former boss after finding sickening material on his computer
The ex-boss of disgraced former Michigan State and USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar was arrested Monday on charges of criminal sexual conduct.
Dr. William Strampel, the former head of MSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, allegedly sexually harassed or assaulted four female medical students at the school. He is also facing charges for what police found on his university computer.
In February, police seized his computer and discovered “approximately 50 photos of bare vaginas, nude and semi-nude women, sex toys and pornography,” according to the criminal complaint against Strampel.
Many of the photos were reportedly taken of MSU students, Sports Illustrated reported.
But that’s not all. According to the affidavit, one of the videos found on the computer showed Nassar abusing a female patient.
“Also uncovered on Strampel’s work computer were pornographic videos and a video of Dr. Larry Nassar performing ‘treatment’ on a young female patient,” the affidavit reads.
Strampel is also being accused of not doing enough to supervise Nassar.
“According to the affidavit, Strampel allowed Nassar to see patients before the Title IX investigation was completed,” MLive reported.
“In addition, while Strampel set conditions for Nassar’s return — such as having a chaperone in the room, using gloves and getting patient consent for exams or treatments in ‘sensitive’ areas — Strampel did not establish any system for enforcing those rules.”
Nassar was eventually fired from MSU in September 2016, but Strampel said just two weeks later that he did not believe the accusations against the since-disgraced gymnastics doctor.
In addition to the charges relating to Nassar, Strampel is facing charges regarding his own alleged actions toward the four MSU students who say he groped them, solicited nude photos and propositioned them for sex.

At least 250 girls and women have sued MSU, Strampel and other university officials following the alleged abuse that they were subject to, CBS News reported.
