Pregnant Jessa Duggar Rolls Up Her Sleeves To Give Home a 'Minimalist' Makeover on a Budget
Doing a home makeover can seem like a fun but overwhelming task. From new paint to fresh furniture and accents, there’s a lot to do when it comes to changing up your space.
But sometimes moms get that sudden spurt of energy and motivation. And pregnant moms? When they want to “nest” there’s no stopping them!
For pregnant Jessa Seewald of the famous Duggar family, sprucing up her most loved living spaces came at the spur of the moment.

“Here’s a little glimpse into a Seewald home project that was completed recently,” she wrote on Instagram. “Decided on a whim that I wanted to become more of a minimalist.”
The mom-of-two-going-on-three showed photos of her living room with green walls, darker furniture and a coffee table at the center of the space.
As you can see, the space is a bit crowded and cramped, especially for two little ones running around all day long.
“It was 7pm, and Ben was going to be in a meeting for the next few hours,” Seewald explained. “So I loaded up the boys and headed to Lowe’s.”
The “Counting On” star grabbed some lighter color, one-coat paint and supplies and started on the project immediately.
Not only did the lighter color paint freshen up the space, it definitely makes the room look much larger. Take away that center table and add a rug and suddenly it’s a whole new room!
Seewald was excited to sell the excess tables on Facebook Marketplace, making the minimalist project even more budget-friendly.
She took the cash and was able to purchase the rug and some discount plants from Hobby Lobby (best store ever!).
While her kids’ space in the corner is the same for now, Seewald certainly opened up the room and made it look brand new!
“It may not be HGTV worthy, but it’s the hub of our home and we feel like it’s a massive transformation!” she wrote.
Seewald also took to the master bedroom with her minimalist ways, got rid of the bed frame and added some new accents.
We love the Seewald’s home changes and know it will be the perfect place for their new baby to grow and thrive.
