Real IDs of Questioners at Bernie Town Hall Come Out, Showing CNN Radically Misled Viewers
CNN held a town hall with 2020 presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday, but the network failed to disclose the Democratic Party ties of the event’s attendees and questioners.
The misleading identification was first uncovered by Twitter users and reported by left-wing outlet Paste Magazine.
Within Sanders’ long list of socialist talking points is a strong stance against lobbyists and a desire for “campaign finance reform,” which naturally puts him at odds with lobbyists and lobbying firms.
And it just so happens that one of Sanders’ toughest questions on Monday came from an intern for Cassidy and Associates, a huge lobbying firm, according to Paste.
However, CNN only described the intern as an “American University student.”
The intern, Shadi Nasab, asked Sanders a tough question about sexual harassment accusations from inside his 2016 presidential campaign.

Clearly, the fact that the questioner worked for a lobbying firm is an important detail, especially when the question is being directed toward the most vocal proponent of campaign finance reform.
And while I’m not a supporter of Sanders’ reforms, it is important to call out CNN’s blatant bias for the Democratic elite.
If CNN is willing to mask shady questioners at a Sanders town hall, imagine what the outlet would do to throw off Republicans.
There were several more Democratic elites who asked questions, and none of their connections were disclosed.
CNN described Tara Ebersole as a “former biology professor,” but research into her LinkedIn page shows that she has been the chairwoman of the Baltimore County Democratic Party since 2016.
Yunjung Seo was described as a “George Washington Student,” but a more faithful description would have disclosed her position at Katz Watson Group, a “political fundraising” firm.
CNN described Michelle Gregory as a “Maryland voter,” but she’s more involved with Maryland politics than a mere “voter.”
And CNN admitted that they didn’t properly identify audience members.
“Though we said at the beginning of the Town Hall that the audience was made up of Democrats and Independents, we should have more fully identified any political affiliations,” the network said in a statement to Paste and Mediaite.
There were too many omissions for this to be a simple mistake.
It’s obvious that the left-wing establishment media is terrified of Sanders because he’s too open about his socialist beliefs, which makes the left look bad.
The media would prefer to prop up candidates who are more discreet with their extreme positions, like Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Kamala Harris.
Even far left Democrats should now see why conservatives slam CNN as “fake news.”
