Shaq and Gronk break the internet with hilarious dance-off

Share

When Shaquille O’Neal hosts a party, you expect the unexpected.

Such was the case this weekend at an event the former NBA great hosted in Miami during the Ultra Festival.

Among the 3,000 or so guests in attendance was New England Patriots tight end Rob “Life of the Party” Gronkowski.

Put Shaq and Gronk together at the same party, and you know something wild will happen.

It did this weekend as the two took part in a dance-off.

At one point, Shaq — wearing his Superman shirt — carried Gronk on his shoulders, giving the 6-foot-6 tight end a view from atop the 7-foot-1 basketball great.

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller also was seen taking in the action on stage.

TMZ reports other celebrities on hand at the event included Steve Aoki, Diplo, A-Trak and Carnage.

While maybe not sober, Gronkowski appeared to be otherwise healthy, which will give Patriots fans even more reason to hope the tight end decides he’s returning for another season after fueling speculation about retirement in an interview after the team’s loss in Super Bowl LII.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft saw the dance-off video and said it gave him hope that Gronk is coming back.

“I must say I sort of got excited seeing him vault up on Shaq’s shoulders,” Kraft told the Providence Journal. “For a guy that size to be able to hop up on a 7-foot-2 or whatever Shaq is, is pretty cool. So that speaks well for his potential athletic moves this coming year.”

Gronkowski has reportedly been offered opportunities in professional wrestling and acting if he decides to retire.

From the looks of these dance videos, he may be trying to land a role in the next “Magic Mike” sequel.
