Six Men Gather in a Secluded Field and Start Singing 'Amazing Grace'
There’s nothing quite like hearing your favorite song or hymn performed in a way that gives you goosebumps and causes you to stop whatever you’re doing just to listen.
Legendary Vocals, started by YouTube singing sensation Peter Hollens, never fails to introduce us to some amazing artists and musicians.
A group of a cappella vocalists who call themselves “Home Free” produced a stunning rendition of the timeless hymn “Amazing Grace.” And, oh boy, the sound is sweet!
Wherever you stand on this song’s origins, it’s hard to deny that what these men have done is truly beautiful.
Their voices carry heart, depth and soul. We’ve heard this hymn a thousand times, but never quite like this.
Their talent paired with the beautiful settings in this music video are sure to have you clicking the repeat button more than once.
Watch as “Home Free” moves from an abandoned chapel to the secluded woods. The expressions on their faces show a love and a passion beyond words.
“Wow! This is one of my favorite songs!” one commenter shared. “What amazing voices these guys have!”
“God has blessed them with so much talent!” she went on. “Thank you for sharing your talent! Blessings and Peace.”
“I could listen to this for hours,” another person wrote. “Aside from being my favorite hymn it soothes my soul which at the way my life is right now needs a whole lot of that.”
Still another viewer said, “I so needed to hear this tonight; your voices brought peace at a time so much ‘out there’ is discouraging.”
“Home Free” won NBC’s “The Sing Off” in December of 2013. The triumph won them $100,000 and a recording contract with Sony. They certainly earned it!
Since then, their career has skyrocketed. They have over 800,000 likes on Facebook and nearly as many subscribers on YouTube.
The group is currently touring the United States and also has tour dates scheduled for Australia — which have completely sold out!
To find out if “Home Free” is coming to your hometown, you can visit their tour page on Facebook. I noticed they’re headed my way and I just might have to grab myself some tickets!
