Sneaky Dog Pretends To Be Stray To Get Free Hamburgers at McDonald’s

Share

Ever notice that there’s just something appealing about the smell of burgers and fries from McDonald’s? Even certain vegetarians are enticed by that distinctive aroma.

Maybe it’s simple nostalgia. Most of us remember trips to the Golden Arches as a kid, after all.

Or maybe there’s a scientific angle. Taste of Home explains that McDonald’s has mastered the art of combining key ingredients to make our mouths water.

Whatever the reason, a lot of folks seem to favor Mickey D’s. The Fiscal Times reports that the fast-food chain serves up well over 75 hamburgers per second.

The Fiscal Times also says that the popular eatery’s daily customer volume stands somewhere around 62 million. That figure almost exceeds the entire population of Great Britain.

According to KFOR, even dogs are now getting in on the action. Well, at any rate, one Oklahoma dog in particular.

This pretty brown pup goes by the name of Princess. And true to her title, she seems to have a mild entitlement complex that’s cracking up social media users everywhere.

Would your pets pull a trick like this?

The story of Princess recently went viral for an amusing reason. According to her owner, Betsy Reyes, the taste of McDonald’s has turned this sweet pooch into something of a four-legged freeloader.

Evidently, Princess realized that she could score free hamburgers by acting like a stray. A Facebook post from Reyes broke down the crafty canine’s basic strategy.

Reyes noticed at some point that her pup was sneaking out of the house under the cloak of darkness. So one night, the curious owner decided to follow Princess on her evening excursion.

That’s when she caught Princess in the act. It seems the canine was making a beeline for the local McDonald’s.

Once there, Princess proceeded to creep toward the cars of absolute strangers. Looking all lonesome and disheartened, she would beg for some tasty tidbits.

In a separate video, Reyes filmed Princess approaching her own vehicle. The pup’s face brightened excitedly, and her innocently wagging tail seemed to say, “Ummm, yeah Mom, nothing to see here.”

Her dog’s dastardly after-dark activities prompted Reyes to fire off a wry Facebook alert. Her comical note was instantly shared thousands of times.

“If you see my dog @ the McDonald’s on Shields, quit feeding her,” Reyes wrote. “She’s not even a stray dog.”

Reyes also slammed the sly tactics of her wonderfully wily hound. At one point, she even called Princess “gold diggin” just to get the general point across.

Princess, unfortunately, was unavailable for comment. But she did seem to be smacking her lips pretty contentedly.
