Steph Curry destroys hotel room, calls himself an 'idiot'
Hopefully, he at least yelled “Fore!”
Everyone knows that Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is one of the NBA’s premier marksmen when it comes to shooting.
Three-pointers, acrobatic floaters — you name it, the two-time MVP does it all.
But if there’s one thing that Curry might love as much as basketball, it would be golf.
Last summer, the near-scratch player participated in a Web.com professional golf event and didn’t embarrass himself, as noted by USA Today.
It’s that skill which makes this story so surprising.
With the Warriors on a three-game road trip, Steph had to get his golf fix in.
Obviously, there’s been some tough weather on the East Coast, so he probably figured there wouldn’t be any harm in using his hotel room to fine-tune his swing.

But it appears that Steph had a tough lie, and he ended up doing some damage.
The good news is that Curry was uninjured, unlike Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart, who punched a picture frame in his hotel room last month and sustained lacerations on his hand in the process.
Curry is averaging 5.3 rebounds per game — just shy of his career high — so he’s already proven he can get to the glass.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said his team was “mentally fried” heading into the All-Star break, so it may be a good thing for Curry to get out on the links … or the hotel room.
There’s no word on if Curry is going to change his indoor golf routine to focus on something safer, like putting.
The Warriors are in Atlanta for Friday night’s game.
Say, don’t the Hawks play down the road from Augusta?
