Steven Crowder Calls Out Leftist Hypocrisy over Abortion, Covington Boys With 1 Brilliant Meme
Virginia’s Democrat Gov. Ralph Northam is now fighting for his political life because he doesn’t think he was in one blackface photo because he would have remembered since he was in another blackface routine involving him impersonating Michael Jackson.
This is seriously his excuse; I’m barely even being reductionist here.
However, did you remember that he was originally in trouble because of his horrifying comments regarding abortion? Probably yes, but you’re also likely in the minority.
In fact, the media did pretty much everything they could to keep the governor’s abortion remarks out of the headlines. It was only when it became clear just how iffy of a character Northam was via the blackface controversy that everyone suddenly freaked out.

But in the Covington Catholic case, of course, we knew exactly what to think about the students and the fact that they had an opinion about abortion — plus the fact that they were wearing “Make America Great Again” hats and were “white and privileged,” as we heard repeatedly.
In other words, the media was willing to give more benefit of the doubt to a governor who approvingly discussed what amounted to infanticide than they were to kids who were confronted by a sketchy Native American activist who was drumming in their faces.

Precisely.
Let’s not forget exactly what Northam said about abortion on Wednesday, before this whole blackface debate blew up. He was on WTOP radio in Washington talking about a controversial bill in the legislature that would make abortion up until birth legal.
“When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of the mother, with the consent of physicians, more than one physician by the way, and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities, there may be a fetus which is nonviable,” Northam said.
“So in this particular example, if the mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if this is what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physician and the mother.”
Even though his people denied that Northam was talking about infanticide, that’s not exactly what Northam said when asked about his thoughts regarding the comment.
“No, I don’t have any regrets, but I do find that how my comments — I did answer that question. I regret that those comments have been mischaracterized,” he said.
His comments were mischaracterized by merely being repeated, apparently. This, by the way, was when we should have all espied the fact that Northam apparently needs his advisers and other functionaries to stop him from doing stupid things ( as evinced by the fact he was apparently about to do the Moonwalk during Saturday’s news conference before his wife stopped him). But I digress.
Meanwhile, what did we say about the kids from Covington? Many on social media thought that they were fair game, even though they were minors, given that they apparently had opinions about women’s “reproductive health.”
Given that the Covington Catholic High School students think they’re mature enough to understand pregnancy, abortion, childbirth, and parenting — and to tell women what we should do with our bodies — it’d be great if the media would stop coddling them like they’re little boys.

Even Bill Maher, ever the soul of diplomacy, said that Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann was a “little p***k” who made a “d*** move at any age.” Others talked about how the MAGA hat is a sign of hate, implying they shouldn’t even get the benefit of the doubt.
Those kids they’ll attack based on a Twitter snippet of video, even after a fuller video came out that more or less exonerated them.

But the governor of Virginia, when he talks about infanticide, gets a pass until his profoundly offensive yearbook turns up.
What a surprise — total hypocrisy, as usual.
And Crowder’s meme nailed it.
