Americans are paying for a Department of Homeland Security that doesn't seem capable of securing the southern border.

The DHS secretary asked if Homeland Security could handle a surge in migrants almost double its two-decade high of over 210,000 in July.

Wallace, who vehemntly opposed Trump's immigration policies, advocated for a border wall when speaking with DHS head Alejandro Mayorkas.

The number would be up to twice as high as the 200,000-plus illegal immigrants who crossed the southern border in both July and August.

Approximately 30,000 Haitian migrants crossed at Del Rio in September, with only a small percentage deported.

Up to 12,000 illegal Haitian immigrants may already have been released into the US, according to Alejandro Mayorkas.

'It’s an embarrassment. But beyond an embarrassment, it’s dangerous,' he said of Border Patrol agents on horseback confronting migrants.

'The left needs a constant stream of fake news to make their opponents look racist because otherwise, Americans might focus on real news.'

'If you come to the United States illegally, you will be returned,' DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas had said.

'Secretary Mayorkas is the cabinet official primarily responsible for implementing the Biden Administration's immigration policies.'
