LA's DA is making California less safe as he is not going after lawbreakers while residents continue to leave the state.

South American criminal gangs have been using hidden cameras to burglarize houses in southern California and other parts of the U.S.

"He put his hand behind him so I thought he was gonna pull out a knife or a gun," the powerlifter told reporters.

The LAPD identified the suspect as a 29-year-old man but offered no motive for the break-in as of Monday morning.

California's generous immigration policies and soft-on-crime legislation have made the state vulnerable to foreign gangs of burglars.

"If you try to rob a store, you should expect to be shot," Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers said.

California businesses are backing a ballot proposition that seeks to raise penalties for drug and property crimes.

Word to the wise: Never bring a knife to a gunfight -- or to a mixed martial arts fight either, apparently.

A woman who ran on ending "mass incarceration" and rooting out "racial ... and gender disparities" might want to fight crime, too.

"The 22-year-old was pictured standing still and holding a bag in a window of the store," the BBC reported.
